Hurricane Survivors Occupy the Office of Sen Mitch McConnell

On September 27th, 2017 a delegation of survivors of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma occupied Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s office on Capitol Hill, demanding he acknowledge the role of climate change and the fossil fuel economy in making these storms worse. This action was in collaboration with The New Florida Majority and Texas Environmental Justice Advocacy Service.
