Marcy Rockman: BRIDGES’ global sustainability focus can help address climate change impacts on heritage

During the visioning discussions taking place at the BRIDGES establishment workshop at UNESCO headquarters, Paris, 11-12 June 2019, archaeologist Marcy Rockman of ICOMOS shares her hopes that the global sustainability approach prioritized in the emerging BRIDGES coalition may open up new ways of addressing the connection between climate change and threatened cultural heritage, which lies at the heart of her own mandate as liaison to the IPCC for the International Council on Monuments and Sites.
