Resting Storm

This is an original chamber jazz piece for Earthsound – jazz quartet (flute, piano, bass, and drums) and string quartet. Features the recorded observations of IƱupiat elder Bessie Sinnok speaking about climate change in Shishmaref, Alaska, and nature writer Marybeth Holleman speaking about climate change in Anchorage, Alaska. You’ll hear their observations of melting glaciers, sea level rise, and other effects of climate change in Alaska.
